6 Tips for Creating Content Naturally by Hubspot

Summary:
This article talk about how there is a lot of content put out through social media, so the bare minimum won't cut it in order for it to get shared across the web. The content that we share needs to have certain things within it to make it stand out from the rest of the content that is shared.
This article gives 6 tips on what to do to get content shared:
1. Don't try something new. They suggest to work smart, not hard in relevance to creating content. It is important to use analytics to see what is already generating a lot of views and shares and then follow those patterns.
2. Surprise people. The article pointed out that content that is most likely to be shared across the internet, are those that invoke strong emotion.
3. Nail you headline. It is important that no matter what the topic, to have an interesting headline that people will find interesting and want to click on. When writing a headline it is important to remember 4 "U's": useful, ultra-specific, unique, and urgent.
4. Don't show; tell me. Social media platforms reward visual content. Visual content is appealing to the eye and will make people more interested.
5. Enable you blog to market your content, You should make it easy for readers to share, tweet, and pin your content.
6. Don't forget about SEO. It's important to write and optimize blog posts by using keywords that will bring people to your site.

Applications:
I really liked this article because it provided easy and simple tips on how to make better content that will be shared.
Since we are just beginning to create a blog, it is hard to follow the first step about not trying something new. Everything we are doing is new, however, from the analytics we see, we can follow patterns of what people like to help with out future blog posts both with this campaign, and other campaigns that we engage in.
I think it is important to invoke strong emotion, so it is important to be aware of how the article makes me feel and that will help me to understand how it will make y audience feel.
An area that I can work on is nailing the headline to where people are immediately interested just by reading the headline. I can improve by paying attention to the 4 "U's" that this article mentions.
Visual content is also something that can always be improved. Though I am not that creative, the more I work on it, the better I can be at creating visually appealing content.
Right now our blog isn't very user friendly to where people can easily share it on their own social media outlets and I think we can find ways to make is more user friendly so that it can market itself.

Lastly, SEO can't really apply to our blog because we are using Weebly for free and it does not show up on search engines.
