How to Write a Blog Post: A Simple Formula by Hubspot

Summary:

This article went through simple steps to create a blog post. These steps are Step 1. Understand your audience. Step 2: Start with a topic and working title. Step 3: Write an intro (and make it captivating). Step 4: Organize your content. Step 5: Write! Step 6: Edit/proofread your post, and fix your formatting. Step 7: Insert a call-to-action (CTA) at the end. Step 8: Optimize for on-page SEO. Step 9: Pick a catchy title.

Application:

I particularly like the step to create a call to action. I think this is the most important step because a call to action gives them a reason to read your blog. Without a call to action, you are not really giving your blog a purpose. With a call to action, you create a purpose for what you are writing. People who read our blogs that we write this semester need a call to action so that something can actually happen.
